Who would've thought that the words Bible and Lego can go side by side? :) Well, they do go very well together I can assure you! The Brick Bible for Kids is probably the most creative retelling of Bible stories using Lego pieces.

Bible for Lego-lovin’ Kids

Who would’ve thought that the words Bible and Lego can go side by side? 🙂 Well, they do go very well together I can assure you! The Brick Bible for Kids is probably the most creative retelling of Bible stories using Lego pieces. There are so many things I love about it! But before I continue raving about it, allow me to share with you why we instilled in our son the habit of reading the Bible. 🙂

The main reason we want Timmy to read and apply God’s Word is because we have been changed by it. 🙂 It has helped me and my husband to be better followers of Jesus, spouses to each other, parents to Timmy, children to our parents, friends to our peers, and employees to our employers.

We want him to grow up knowing that there’s a book of truth that he can run to; that when people are difficult to deal with, God’s Word can encourage him to be patient and compassionate; that when times our tough, there are real-life stories of God’s deliverance in the Bible and promises that he can hold on to; and that when times are good, God’s Word will keep him humble and grounded. 🙂

Here’s Timmy reading the Bible over the years:

So you can just imagine our delight when we discovered The Brick Bible for Kids! They come in two formatsthe boxed set and the complete set in one book. Both formats are in hardcover which is great for repeated use! The boxed set comes with a poster and has six books:

  1. Noah’s Ark
  2. Joseph and the Colorful Coat
  3. David and Goliath
  4. Daniel in the Lion’s Den
  5. Jonah and the Whale
  6. The Christmas Story

The complete set has all six stories but compiled in one hardcover book. This is easier to bring around than the boxed set and perfect for kids (like my son) who always asks for one more story. 🙂 But the boxed set with individual books is easier for your kids to carry since they will only read one story/book at a time so it’s lighter for them.

I find the complete set better for read aloud and the boxed set with individual books for independent reading. 🙂 Either way, the content is the same so you can go for either one of them. 🙂

What I really like about it is that the stories are complete! For example, Jonah and the Whale doesn’t end with Jonah just going to Ninevah. It will show up to the part when he went there, he got mad at God for being so gracious and forgiving to the people of Ninevah, and when the tree that gave him shade died. It’s that thorough! 🙂

Daniel in the Lions’ Den not only covered Daniel’s story but also that of his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The pages are laid out in such a way that the Lego depiction is really big and the text size is just right for kids and adults. 🙂

It’s the BER months already so if you’re thinking of a gift for your Lego-lovin’ kids, these books will definitely make their day! 🙂

You can buy The Brick Bible for Kids at National Book Store, Powerbooks, and Fully Booked branches. 🙂 The Manila International Book Fair is happening soon and I’m pretty sure these books will be there, too! 🙂
